It's a 3D FPS game in which your objective changes depending on the game mode, but you'll always be an egg with a variety of weapons to unleash. Because it's fast-paced and chaotic, it may take a few rounds to get going.

How to Play Shell Shockers

Shell Shockers is a first-person shooter with sharp and quick controls to keep up with the action. It offers two control schemes: the mouse and the keyboard or controller. If you go with the former, the default controls are as follows:

• W: Move Forward
• S: Move Backward
• A: Move Left
• D: Move Right
• Spacebar: Jump
• F: Melee Attack
• Left Mouse Button: Fire
• Shift: Precise Aim
• R: Reload
• E: Swap Weapon
• Q: Throw Grenade

The default controls for an Xbox-style controller are:

• Left Directional Stick: Move
• Right Directional Stick: Aim
• A: Jump
• RT: Fire
• LT: Precise Aim

Arm your Egg in Shell Shockers

Being a fast-paced online game, Shell Shockers offers options to help you stand out among the crowd. Before jumping into the game, you can customize your egg from the Lobby. By clicking on Inventory, you can customize your egg with different types of colors, markings, and hats. You can also choose its main weapon, secondary weapon, grenade, and melee weapon.

Only the main weapon has different options in terms of performance, while the other items are purely aesthetic. If you're unhappy with your main weapon choice during a match, you can swap it out at the Respawn screen. These are the currently available main weapons, as described by Shell Shockers:

• EGGK-47: "The classic, high rate of fire, medium range, never jams."
• Scrambler: "2 shots—shotgun blasts do critical damage up close."
• Free Ranger: "Semi Automatic Sniper: Destroy from a Distance."
• RPEGG: "Small magazine, medium distance. Big damage!"
• Whipper: "Large clip full of egg-cracking bullets. Close to medium range."
• Crack shot: "Bolt Action Sniper: One-shot stopping power."
• Tri-Hard: "3-round burst, accurate, medium-range specialist."

If you'd like to unlock more items, you need to play matches to earn Eggs which are in-game currency. You can also buy more Eggs and items directly using a credit card. Additionally, watching ad videos will net you Eggs as well.

Shell Shockers Game Modes

Shell Shockers offers varied gameplay with four different game modes. You can choose one of the following from the menu at the bottom of the Lobby:

• Capture the Spatula: The game's version of Capture the Flag Look for the enemy's spatula, grab it, and bring it back to your base. The one with the most captures wins.
• Teams: Players are sorted into teams to fight against each other. The team with the most points wins.
• Free For All: Every egg for itself! Do your best to crack as many eggs as you can.
• King of the Coop: The game's version of King of the Hill. Fight to hold your spot in the coop for as long as possible.
